Gorleston made it four straight wins in the Premier Division of the Thurlow Nunn League as they made an impressive return to action at Emerald Park last night.
The Greens got Saturday's postponement out of their systems by beating lowly FC Clacton 4-0 on a pitch that was perfectly playable after the thaw.
Stu Larter's side struggled for an early breakthrough but took a firm grip on proceedings just before half-time, with Ross Gilfedder scoring in the 38th and 43rd minutes to take them into the half-time break 2-0 up.
The game was effectively over as a contest when Aaron Taylor scored Gorleston's third goal four minutes in the second half and Sean Perfect added more gloss to the proceedings when he made it 4-0 on 73 minutes.
Gorleston will now be looking to build on the win with three successive home games coming up, starting against Hadleigh United on Saturday and continuing against Haverhill Rovers and Godmanchester.
