Yarmouth suffered a comprehensive defeat at local rivals Gorleston in a match featuring the first goal of Mark Vincent's return.

Two ex-Bloaters, Mitch Forbes and Adam Mills, helped inflict the defeat, along with Chris Sandford, Ali McKenna and Jack Garrod.

Four changes were made to the side that lost to Wisbech two days previously, Andre Costa, George Barnden and Jason Hall returned to the starting lineup along with Marian Jobbagy, who rose from the substitute's bench.

The first meaningful attack of the game gave Gorleston the lead. From the byline, Ali McKenna rolled the ball back for Forbes to tap in.

But Yarmouth hit back instantly when Fernando Vide's trickery won a free kick on the left side level with the box.

From it Neil Hurren floated the ball to the far post for Mark Vincent to header back across goal and into the far corner. It was the 48-year-olds first goal since coming out of retirement.

Instead of the goal spurring the Bloaters onto a derby win, Gorleston grew in confidence as the half progressed, with Cudden's reactions needed to keep out Thomson's header from a corner.

Yarmouth were fortunate not to go behind again on 34 minutes when another corner created panic in the defence, the ball acting as a pinball before it was cleared off the line.

Ex-Bloater Adam Mills had a long range drive parried wide before Cudden's reactions were needed to keep out McKenna's header before half time.

After the break Yarmouth should have taken the lead. Good buildup play allowed Marian Jobbagy to find Callum Jones on the right side, his cross to the near post was headed over the bar by a combination of Neil Hurren and Charlie McAra.

Two minutes later Gorleston retook the lead as Chris Sandford's long range drive took a wicked deflection that diverted the ball past Cudden.

Moments later Vide had a snap shot saved by host's keeper Elliot Pride before Gorleston extended their lead.

Substitute Keegan Middleton skipped past his defender, and from the byline rolled the ball back for McKenna to side foot into the roof of the net.

Midway through the second half Gorleston got a fourth, Middleton again involved as again from the byline he rolled the ball back for Garrod to slot home.

The misery was completed seven minutes from time, Reece Hunn had his run unfairly stopped by Jason Hall in the box. From the resulting penalty, former Bloater captain Adam Mills sent Cudden the wrong way.

Yarmouth had a late chance for another goal but substitute Alex Pantelli's low drive was easy for the host's keeper Pride to collect.
