Norfolk Summer League results are thin on the ground this week with at least two matches being postponed - one because of George Michael performing at Carrow Road - and results not having been received from three others.

On court the closest match, and first draw, of the summer took place at Barnham Broom where the home side and Kessingland shared the points in a 9-9 draw. Andrew Welby won the fourth string match for Barnham in straight games, with Andy Wright replying for Kessingland. Craig Aldred then beat Richard Hunt 3-1, only for Kessingland to draw level through Jamie Goodrich, who beat reigning Norfolk champion Matthew Bolt 9-10, 10-9, 9-3, 9-4 in the first string match.

A completely different Kessingland team had beaten a three man Watton team 15-3 with both Brian Swan and Dave Gouldby winning in straight games. Vince Somers spared Watton's blushes as he beat David Hall 9-0, 9-4,

5-9, 7-9, 9-5.

Wensum Lodge consolidated their position at the top of Division Two with a 15-5 victory over Barnham Broom III.
