George fires Norfolk clear at the top
The latest round of games in the Norfolk CIBA County League, Norfolk BC A have increased their lead to seven points at the top of Division One. Travelling to Browston A, they came away with an 80-74 win to take five points with their rink skipped by John George winning 27-11.

On Friday night North Walsham A kept themselves in the title hunt when they won away at County Arts A by 103-73, with their rink skipped by Philip Barr top scoring 34-18. A disappointing weekend for County Arts A ended on Saturday when they lost at home to Pinewood Park A 87-73, with the Pinewood rink skipped by Jimmy Morrison leading the way with a 30-16 score.
With Division Two leaders Lakeside A not playing, Acle B closed the gap on them slightly by winning at home to Hunstanton A 84-66, I Borrett's rink for them winning 23-11. At the bottom of the table Roundwood A moved out of the relegation zone after they won away at Lynnsport 81-60, with the Roundwood rink skipped by P Allard winning 21-13.

In Division Three the top of the table clash between Dereham A and Shotford A saw the former take over the leadership with an 84-67 win, with their rink skipped by J Swindell winning 29-16.
Norfolk BC B lost the chance to catch up on the top two teams after they travelled to Brecks A and lost 83-70, top rink for Brecks was D Betts, 22-15.

In the other matches played in the division, Old Hall beat Lakeside B at home by 95-59 (top rink A Stevenson for Old Hall 38-15), and North Walsham B lost at home to Wymondham B 85-68 (top rink for Wymondham N Smart 23-13).
Division four leaders Norfolk BC C increased their lead at the top of the table after they beat Acle C at home by 91 shots to 66 with their rink skipped by K Potter winning 32-11.
At the bottom of the table Wymondham C edged a close match at home to Great Yarmouth A 79-77, top rink here was the Wymondham rink skipped by K Warnes with a 29-18 score.
Browston B continued their unbeaten season in Division Five after they won away at Roundwood B 80-62 with their rink skipped by P Barrett top scoring 26-18.
Dereham B lost the chance to go second in the table after they lost a close match away at Shotford B by 71-69 (top rink for Shotford B Humphreys, 22-14).
