Many chairmen turn to replacing their managers when their sides are stuck in a rut – but none could have imagined the turnaround Wisbech Town have had under boss Gary Setchell.
The Fenmen added their 10th and 11th games unbeaten this week with 3-0 and 1-0 successes against St Andrews and Deeping Rangers respectively.
That run has fired Setchell's men into seventh place in the UCL Premier Division standings – and just two points behind Rangers who sit in fourth.
Wisbech will look to add a 12th game unbeaten on Saturday afternoon but face a tough test in the form of Desborough Town.
Desborough sit in fifth in the standings but the Fenmen will leapfrog them if they claim the victory at the Elgoods Fenland Stadium.
Setchell's men then travel to struggling Sleaford Town the following Friday.
