Boss Gary Setchell is confident he has game-changing players across his King's Lynn Town squad.

The Linnets shared the goals about again during their 5-1 victory over Stafford Rangers on Saturday as they moved up to seventh in the Evo-Stik Premier Division. And Lynn's manager believes he has more options than ever at his disposal to ensure his back-to-back promoted men keep challenging in the right half of the Northern League's top tier.

'We've got match-winners here,' said Setchell.

'We've got a good squad. When we played Cambridge City here in the FA Trophy and we were 2-1 down, before I got the squad together, I was looking on the pitch and thinking – apart from Andy Hall really – I didn't have a match winner, someone who was going to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

'On Saturday I had four or five on the pitch and two or three on the bench who can turn a game just like that. And that makes a massive difference. Now I feel we're getting near where I want to be. Instead of having a squad of 18 full of, sort of like alright players, I've trimmed it down and I think I've got 14, 15 really good players.'

Setchell has rebuilt his squad wisely since the early-season departures of players like Steve Spriggs bringing in a host of new faces and loan stars like talented wideman Jake Jones from Tamworth.
