Freddie Ruffell's hat-trick stole the show as Swardeston booked their place in the NW Brown Norfolk Twent20 final.

The East Anglian Premier League side reached 176 for five in their 20 overs, with Jason Reynolds scoring 61 from 45 balls and Joe Gatting contributing 44 from just 20 balls, featuring five sixes.

Ruffell took the first of his wickets when having Brooke's top scorer Matt Collinge caught behind by Stephen Gray on 44, with the reigning Norfolk Alliance champions on 86 for seven.

He then also had Will Michin caught by wicketkeeper Gray as well and completed his hat-trick by trapping tail-ender Charlie Grisley LBW for a golden duck, with Brandon Ling run out by Jeremey Elliott soon after to dismiss Brooke for 90 and wrap up an 86-run victory.

Swardeston will face Great Witchingham – who knocked out holders Vauxhall Mallards in the other semi-final last week – in the final at Manor Park on Friday, July 21, starting at 6pm with a minimal entry fee.
