Norwich jumped back to the top of the Premier Division with a maximum points display as title rivals Fakenham were left kicking their heels in the rain.

Australian Nathan Shearer (102no) hit an unbeaten century against Stow at Postwick as the hosts racked up a big score.

Norfolk batsman Harry Bush, playing his first game of the season for Norwich, added 62 and there was a powerful 52no from skipper Chris Borrett.

Spinner Ashley Watson then took four for 15 as Stow stumbled to a 147-run defeat despite Warren Bowman's 53.

With Fakenham's game at North Runcton rained off, Norwich moved 17 points clear at the top.

At the other end of the table, Acle's batting woes returned to haunt them at the worst possible time, as they lost by eight wickets at home to relegation rivals Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers.

Hendro Puchert and Thomas Daynes both took three wickets as Wanderers dismissed Acle for 84. The visitors opted for extreme caution in their reply and did not reach their small target until the 41st over, but Puchert (38no) ensured there were no slip-ups.

Sprowston are still struggling to transfer their cup form to league action as they lost by two wickets at home to Diss.

Danny Palmer made 49 for the hosts, but their scoring was hampered by Chris Cooper (four for 59) and Diss just managed to overhaul their target, Cooper, pictured, top scoring with 43. Andy Hanby claimed three for 36 for Sprowston.

Vauxhall Mallards A's Adam Todd took four for 21 as Lowestoft slumped to 82 all out to suffer an 85-run defeat.

Downham remain third after a dominant winning draw at home to Old Buckenham. Australian Harry Evans fired 108no for Downham.

In Division One, Mattishall went top without having to don their whites, as their match was abandoned and morning leaders Cromer lost at home to Swardeston A.

Steve Cadge (five for 34) made the hosts struggle with the bat before Freddie Ruffell (47) steered Swardeston towards a six-wicket win.

James Goodfellow (four for 28) and Ian Todd (four for 36) bowled Topcroft to a 29-run win at Brooke, despite Rob Panter hitting 75 for the hosts. Earlier Goodfellow (43) had top scored for Topcroft, with Brooke's John Habershon claiming three for 43.

Bradfield cruised to a nine-wicket win at home to Norwich A, with David Register making 56no.

The derby clash between Bradenham and Dereham was rained off.

In Division Two, leaders Swardeston B lost by five wickets at Saxlingham.

Nick Pearce took five for 19 as Swardeston found runs hard to come by and although David Horrex took four for 10 in the Saxlingham reply, the hosts won with six overs to spare.

Hales & Loddon boosted their survival hopes with a 62-run win at home to fellow strugglers Great Melton.

Dave Harmer hit 71 for Hales before Rob Anderson took four for 24 and Steve Rowe bagged four for 18 to destroy the Melton reply.

Downham A collected a three-wicket win at Hethersett & Tas Valley, with three wickets each for Michael Crisp and David Grady.

The match between Fakenham A and Beccles was abandoned without a ball bowled.
