Free-scoring Bungay batsman Tom York smashed through the 600-run mark as he posted his fourth century in seven games this season with 102 in the Division Four leaders' winning draw at home to Winterton.

York, 30, is looking good to win a bet with skipper Chris Fuller that he will score more than 800 Alliance runs this season.

'When I had the bet I was looking to get over 800 runs but things have gone better than I expected and now I am looking for 1,000,' said York, who might just have an eye on Carl Rogers' all-time Alliance record of 1,437 for Great Witchingham in 2006.

Matthew Evans bagged five wickets and there were half-centuries for John Glozier and Will Hampson in Sprowston A's win at Garboldisham which keeps them breathing down the necks of Division Two leaders Acle A who suffered their first defeat, at Witchingham A, for whom opener Carl Rogers scored an unbeaten 57.

Kevin Cooper scored an umbeaten 108 for Swardeston CEYMS in their winning draw at Norwich B, with Dale Reynolds (53) supporting in a 238-4 total. The hosts ended 35 runs short with three wickets in hand.
