A small number of City of Norwich Athletics Club's (CONAC) athletes competed in the British Track & Field Championships and European Trials at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
Iona Lake was the club's most successful athlete when finishing fourth in the 3000m steeplechase in a time of 10:20.52mins, finishing as the second English athlete.
Loughborough-based Paul Goodall qualified for the 800m final but the race proved to be a tactical affair with Goodall being bullied out of position by the end of the slow opening lap.
Goodall lost out over the final 100m and had to settle for sixth place with a time if 1:49.87mins.
In the long jump James McLachlan recorded a leap of 7.28m, an effort which placed him seventh in the overall standings.
It was a tough learning curve for Kelly Grant and Tom Hook in their first appearances at the championships.
Grant, 31, found her heat in the 1500m very tough and missed out on the final, finishing 12th of 13 runners in 4:33.05mins.
While bad luck befell 19-year-old Hook in the 3000m Steeplechase, as he failed to finished.
In a race with 17 competitors he met with a human traffic jam in the early staging of the race, when he stumbled exiting the water jump and was forced to the ground by the following competitors.
