WOBYC host the NSBA Youth Regatta on Saturday, drawing something near 100 boats and competitors aged under 19 for a full day of racing and celebration. There is only one other Open scheduled, Horning's Open YBOD event on Saturday and Sunday. In contrast there is a plethora of activity on September 7-8, with the Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival taking prime billing, and two weekend sailing events, a Yeoman Open at NBYC and a Javelin Open at Southwold. One-day events on Saturday comprise a Punt Open hosted by Hickling with the Athene Cup, to be sailed at Thurne, RNSYC hosting the Phil Back trophy at Southwold, and Leisure Owners Rally on Barton Broad. Sunday sees Green Wyvern SC's Cecil Howard Memorial race from Cantley to Coldham Hall and OSBO Race for powerboats on Oulton Broad.
