King's Lynn Stars have completed their line-up for the forthcoming season by signing Ashley Morris.

Adrian Flux Arena officials last night confirmed that Morris will ride alongside Lewis Kerr at reserve during the 2015 Elite League campaign – which starts next month. That position had been vacant since Joe Jacobs, who was picked during the Fast Track Draft Day earlier this year, decided to take a year out of the sport.

Morris, a former British under-15 champion, made his top-flight bow last term for Wolverhampton Wolves after shining with National League powerhouse Cradley Heathens. A horrific crash at Lynn during his side's 54-39 loss in Norfolk on June 11 saw him sidelined for around two months after suffering a slight bleed on the brain.

A Stars statement said: 'Having taken the necessary time out to fully recover, the 20-year-old has been back on a bike in recent weeks and is ready to make his racing return with the Stars.'

Morris joins Kerr, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Robert Lambert, Rory Schlein, Nicklas Porsing and Kenneth Bjerre in trying to help Rob Lyon's team end their quest for maiden Elite League glory.
