King's Lynn fans get their first chance to see the Stars on track tonight when the club hosts a team preview event at the Norfolk Arena. The Young Stars - who have just won a sponsorship deal with Poultec - will be out first, with the senior squad taking to the shale at around 8pm.

'A few years ago we used to simply have a Press and practice day, but we have moved with the times and tried to make it more appealing for our fans,' said Stars promoter Buster Chapman. 'All the riders will be introduced and interviewed before posing for photos for the Press and public. They will then take to the track for a few laps of practice before we wrap it all up at about 9.30pm.'

Stars team manager, Rob Lyon, is excited the season has arrived, saying: 'It has been a really cold and hard winter, but the days are now warming up and I can almost hear the bikes revving in the pits,' he said. We have a massive year ahead and I am so excited about defending all three of our titles. I hope lots of fans turn up at the preview night.'

See tomorrow's EDP for full coverage of the Stars' return, plus our website www.edp24,co.uk/sport will feature an historic Stars slide show and a chance to download wallpapers of your favourite riders.
