The final day of Norfolk's opening Minor Counties Championship fixture against Hertfordshire was washed out without a ball being bowled.
With heavy rain in Hertfordshire showing no signs of abating, the umpires were able to make an early decision, with the match ending in a draw. Both sides took 11 points from the stalemate.
Norfolk finished with a lead of 50 in their second innings after Sam Arthurton (101 not out) and Jason Reynolds (52 not out) had put on an unbroken 121 for the second wicket.
That was in reply to the home side's huge total of 458-8, inspired by by superb knock of 227 from Stephen Gale.
Norfolk's next Championship match is against Buckinghamshire at Burnham from June 18-20 - but before then there's a MCCA Unicorns Knock-out Cup quarter-final against Staffordshire to look forward to at Longton on Sunday.
