Racing at Fakenham will go ahead this afternoon (Sunday January 30) after an early morning ground inspection was called off.
Clerk of the course David Hunter said the check, which was scheduled for 8am, was not needed because temperatures did not dip below freezing over night.
He added: 'The small amount of frost that was in the ground has gone and therefore today's race meeting goes ahead.'
Today's meeting was a last-minute addition to the racing calendar after the British Horse Racing Authority decided to allocate an extra date following the prolonged cold spell before Christmas.
Admission to all enclosures is 10.
The first race is at 1.55pm and the going is good to soft.
