Lowestoft Town have been forced to put their hopes of progressing in the FA Trophy on hold.

The National League North Trawlerboys, unbeaten in their last five matches, were heading to Concord Rangers in the first round on Saturday. However, that match has now been postponed pending the outcome of a charge against the hosts for fielding an ineligible player in their last match in the competition.

A Lowestoft statement said: 'Until we are informed of the outcome of this charge and what actions are to be taken against Concord Rangers, our first round FA Trophy tie is on hold until further notice.'

The Blues, weather permitting, have another fixture to fulfil before their free weekend mind with a Suffolk Premier Cup quarter-final clash at Haverhill Rovers taking place this evening.
