Injury and unavailability forced Wisbech boss Gary Setchell to field four teenagers for the trip to Wellingborough Town – but his side still brought home the points.

With 'keeper Paul Bastock and defender Jordan Yong picking up injuries in the midweek draw with Yaxley, Peterborough United youngsters Lewis Elsom and Aaron Hart were drafted in.

Having had the better of the first half, Wellingborough took the lead in the 39th minute through Jack Wisniewski, but the Fenmen were level just two minutes later after the Doughboys' keeper punched the ball clear from the edge of the area but only as far as Josh Ford who sent it back from 30 yards out.

The second half saw a reversal of fortunes as Wisbech dominated and went ahead in the 63rd minute when Billy Smith headed in Kieran Hamilton's excellent cross. The points were secured 11 minutes later as Josh Ford scored his second of the game with a curling effort into the top corner.
