Week three of series D had a clement light easterly for long reaches past the clubhouse, again attracting a good number of boats out in most classes at Beccles Amateur Sailing Club.

For the second time, Jonathan Blankley's Laser 'Tardis' had to succumb to Kevin and Pippa Edwards' Enterprise 'Sharkie' on corrected time in the first race. A Flag Officer 'medley' saw the Commodore Richard Deller and Rear Commodore Shirley Roll take command from the start in race two sailing their Enterprise 'Cuddles' after their leading position remained unchanged from the start, despite the efforts of Dave Gentry and Jackie Soards who followed closely behind in 'Chippas Delight'.

Milo Phillips was back on the water in a Topper for the Tann Trophy races after a long absence but two solid performances by Rowan Curtis and Charlie Folkard saw them steal the limelight to take the top spots respectively.

The six Optimists again showed some terrific determination from the youngest helms at Beccles. There were some great tussles and entertainment on the water especially between Elena Edwards, Rachael Folkard and George Curtis with repeat results from last week, table leader Edwards winning race one and Folkard's great win in race two keeping her chances of silverware alive.

Away from the club, three of BASC's Enterprise fleet went up to Hickling Broad the following day to enjoy some fantastic sailing conditions for the Enterprise Area Championships.

Kevin Edwards and Rory Kelsey in 'Minnie' from BASC won the first race in style, but they just lost out to Brian and Linda Cummings in their Ent 'Believe' after some very close racing throughout which eventually had the Dabchicks team take the overall honours.
