Early season City League leaders British Rail slipped to two away defeats – 14-0 at Framingham Earl (C Emms 17-9, K Bunn 16-1, M Blaza 11-5 and R Lumley 16-6) and 12-2 at First Bus. Current leaders Sprowston Sports beat Deaf Sports 12-2 at home and Anglian Windows 10-4 – the latter match going to the final wood with L Mason, D Cross and J Poynter, despite losing 14-8, scoring two on the last end to secure the match by one shot.
RG Carter had a 10-4 away win at Horsford BC, this time with only two shots between the teams. Horsford then won 12-2 at Felthorpe.
Jarrolds were beaten 13-1 at home to Deaf Sport, whose biggest win came from county regular Robin Amos, who won 10-4. County Council away was Jarrolds' next game and they were again beaten, this time 12-2.
Anglian Windows had another close game at home to Taverham. It finished 10-4 with two shots separating the teams. Bottom team Old Bonds lost 10-4 at home to Deaf Sports, the biggest win for the oldies being 19-7 by Doreen Stearman. For Deaf it was 24-14 by R Amos.
