Adam Drury is set to have an ankle operation on Friday which will keep him out of action for three to four weeks.

The left-back picked up an injury in training before the Crystal Palace match and was sidelined for that game and the 4-2 Carling Cup win at Rotherham.

Drury is to have an arthroscopy on Friday according to the club's official website, an operation described by Club Physio Neal Reynolds as 'a general clean-up'.

City boss Nigel Worthington has already brought in Everton 19-year-old Patrick Boyle on loan as cover. Rossi Jarvis can also play at left-back and did so in the Rotherham match, as Boyle was ineligible.
