King's Lynn's inform Aussie Kevin Doolan insists the Premier League table toppers can handle the pressure ahead of tonight's trip to Stoke.

The pre-season title favourites arrive at Loomer Road looking to extend their winning run to eight meetings.

Doolan's perfect 15-point maximum underpinned another Saddlebow procession in midweek against Sheffield but the battle hardened Victorian refuses to get carried away.

"Speedway is such a fine line," he said. "Injuries play a big part as was shown last year or we could turn up somewhere and get an absolute flogging. You never take anything for granted. Everyone is going really well and Stoke is a pretty friendly track. Once we get the hang of it in the first couple of races then we should push them hard.

"We've gone well recently away but you never expect just to turn up and win. At places like Berwick we've got so much confidence from doing well in the past and that helps.

"There was pressure at the start of the season and I think some of the guys found it quite hard - myself included. We didn't quite know how to handle it. In the last month everyone has risen to the occasion so hopefully we can keep it snowballing right until the end."

Doolan admits he is in the form of his life.

"It does feel a little like I can't do anything wrong," he said. "My own form and that of the team is probably linked but I just want to keep it going. If I'd had the sponsorship I've got now behind me earlier in my career I wouldn't have put it to such good use - that comes with experience. The main thing is I'm happy at King's Lynn.

"Things are going great for me in Sweden too. I'm just getting my machinery and everything else organised but hopefully it will become a permanent fixture in the calendar. The good support I've got in England helps me to take that step."

Lynn's vice captain teams up with Czech skipper Tomas Topinka in the Premier League best pairs at Glasgow tomorrow.

"On our current form we can honestly say we've got as good a chance as anybody," said Doolan. "It would be nice to pick something up but we know it's not the be all and end all. Both of us are pretty focussed on the league and we don't want to risk doing anything silly with the critical points of the season coming up."

Stars: 1 Daniel Nermark, 2 Trevor Harding, 3 Troy Batchelor, 4 Kevin Doolan, 5 Tomas Topinka, 6 Chris Mills, 7 John Oliver.
