Diss saw their relegation from the National League set-up confirmed as they were beaten at home by mid-table Braintree.
While the hosts have accepted their fate for some time time now they have continued to play with spirit and once again gave a good account of themselves on Saturday.
They scored first through a push-over try from Steve Hipwell and then hit back after Bracknell had scored twice themselves, with Michael Fuller stealing the ball at a visitors' line-out before offloading to Hipwell to double his tally.
Bracknell moved well clear again either side of the break but Diss continued to battle and Hipwell completed his hat-trick after bursting through the middle.
Chris Beaird converted two of the Diss tries.
