Manager Matt Henman is calling on his Dereham Town side to finish the season on a high when they host Burnham Ramblers.

After a successful Bank Holiday weekend the Magpies have now secured a top-seven finish in their maiden season in the Ryman Division One North. The Aldiss Park outfit followed up a 4-2 victory over Romford on Saturday with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Waltham Abbey on Monday.

And now Henman wants to add another positive result to the club's haul on what's been a highly impressive first term at Step Four of the non-league ladder.

The likeable boss said: 'We have put ourselves in an excellent position after the weekend and I am really happy to have secured a top-seven finish, which is an excellent achievement considering it's our first season at this level.

'We are hoping for a good crowd today and it will be nice for us to go out with a win. We may have to rest one or two players who picked up knocks over the weekend but we have got options in our squad and are confident of finishing the season on a high. It was an excellent game of football with a really high pace and tempo to play which was very enjoyable to watch (on Monday). We fell behind to a great strike and I am very pleased with the way we battled back.'
