Dereham Town have another chance to book their place in the next round of the FA Cup this evening.
The Magpies shared an eight-goal preliminary round thriller at Yaxley on Saturday and welcome the Cuckoos to Aldiss Park tonight for a crunch replay. Craig Bussens' equaliser at the death denied the hosts, managed by former March and Wisbech boss Brett Whaley, a cup upset against their Ryman League Division One North visitors.
The winner of the clash – which will go to extra-time and penalties if the teams cannot be separated after 90 minutes – will pocket £1,925 prize money and set up a home tie against Holbeach United in the first qualifying round on Saturday, September 3.
United, who play in the same United Counties League Premier Division as Yaxley – one level below Matt Henman's Dereham – won 4-3 at Kirkley & Pakefield to progress.
If successful tonight, Dereham will line up alongside higher-level King's Lynn Town and Lowestoft Town in the next stage.
