Neal Simmons says his Dereham Town players are desperate to bounce back after their midweek Norfolk Senior Cup humiliation.

The Magpies were thumped 4-0 by Bostik North neighbours Norwich United in Wednesday's semi-final clash, but have a difficult return to league action when they visit second-placed Bowers & Pitsea on Saturday afternoon.

Their hosts have an 11-point advantage over Dereham, who occupy seventh position, from the same number of games.

Simmons welcomes Andy Howell and Seamus Kelleher back into his side and believes the match is a great opportunity for the Magpies to bounce back from the midweek disappointment.

'We are all looking forward to the game,' said the Magpies boss.

'The lads can't wait to get back on the pitch and put Wednesday night's performance behind them.

'It's a big game against a very strong side.

'We are all committed to pushing for a place in the play-offs.'
