Dereham face play off rivals Maldon & Tiptree on Tuesday night at Aldiss Park.

The Magpies will be looking to get back on track following their 1-0 defeat against Potters Bar on Saturday.

Neal Simmons’ side currently sit just above the Essex side in the Bostik North table in sixth place on goal difference.

Simmons is fully aware of the game’s importance for the Magpies’ promotion hopes.

“It is a potentially season-defining fixture against a team we are level on points with in the last play-off position,” said Simmons.

“It is a challenge that we are determined to rise to and one which should be a good game between two footballing sides.

“We welcome back Ryan Crisp, Olly Ebbage and Jay Eastoe-Smith into the squad as we look to avenge defeat in the reverse fixture.”

And Simmons issued a rallying cry as he bids to complete a remarkable first season at the helm with promotion: “Let’s get behind the team for the last six home games of the season.”
