Hot-shot Luke Tuttle netted four times to take his league tally to 26 for the season as Dereham cruised to victory at Aldiss Park.
The Magpies went ahead in the 12th minute when Jake Anema found Ryan Crisp who switched play superbly towards Tuttle, enabling him to beat keeper Adam Seal with a superb 20 yard volley. Three minutes later Crisp was crudely upended in the box by visiting defender Lewis Sparrow, who was lucky to escape without a card. Tuttle cooly slotted home his and Dereham's second goal from the spot.
In the 32nd minute Sparrow again brought down Crisp in the box and once more Tuttle made no mistake to complete his hat-trick.
Great Wakering reduced the deficit in the 52th minute when Jake Gordon robbed Matt Howard and ran on before netting from 20 yards. Within minutes Dan Gilchrist struck the Magpies' crossbar before keeper Seal made a brilliant save to deny Crisp. However Matt Howard glanced home Tuttle's low cross to increase Dereham's advantage with 58 minutes on the clock and Tuttle headed in his fourth of the night and Dereham's fifth to complete the rout.
