Deopham's Megan Mann has earned the right to represent Great Britain at the World Junior Championships in Pinehurst, USA, organised by the US Kids Golf Foundation.
Mann, 11, entered the European age group championship at Gullane, East Lothian, Scotland, and finished a creditable 12th after shooting three rounds of 88, 84, and 84 and was the second highest-placed Briton.
More than 550 players from 35 countries entered the tournnament and those lucky enough to qualify will now travel to the States for the three-day showpiece event which attracts over 1,200 participants from around the world.
Mann, a member of Eaton Golf Club, was making her fifth appearance in the championship which was won by Isabella Fierro from Mexico who took the title by 20 shots from her nearest rival having scored rounds of 76, 70, and 69 to finish on one under par.
Megan's mum Vanessa, commented: 'We would like to thank Eaton GC and in particular Philip Pearson for all the help and support he has given to Megan, and hope she can make everyone proud.'
