Defending champions up to second

The last Saturday of 2011 saw a depleted programme with some teams still enjoying their winter break. There were just two games in Division One but both were of some significance.

The leaders Feltwell United made the short trip to local rivals Northwold S&SC and won a close and competitive game 3-2 with a breakaway goal right at the death. Meanwhile, defending league champions Bridgham United moved up to second place following a goalless draw at Shipdham.

The Division Two leaders North Elmham were beaten 4-2 at home by Yaxham who move up a place to fifth as a result. Castle Acre Swifts stay third and will take their 100% record into the new year after a convincing 10-1 home win over Methwold Rovers. The other two matches ended as 4-1 home wins. Nostro proved too strong for Thurton & Ashby and Hethersett Athletic gained three welcome home points with a comfortable win over Cockers.

Bawdeswell are the new leaders of Division Three following their 2-1 home win over Colkirk and Mulbarton Wanderers Reserves are up to second place after netting five against Splitz United without reply. In the other match, Mattishall A beat Rampant Horse 3-0.

Division Four leaders North Elmham Reserves won 4-1 at Dereham Cockers United and Watton United A moved up to second spot following their 3-1 win at Methwold United.

Yaxham Reserves beat Walsingham United by the odd goal of three and move up to third ahead of Litcham who were held to a 2-2 draw by Methwold Rovers Reserves. Tacolneston Reserves beat bottom team Shipdham Reserves 7-0 and Beetley United and Castle Acre Swifts Reserves shared the spoils from a 1-1 draw.
