Dean Ashton sees his Norfolk Tour lead cut
The ninth event of the Race to Turnberry Norfolk Tour was hosted by Wensum Valley Golf Club and a good field of players took to the tough Wensum Course.
Nick Barrett won his second event on the tour by returning an impressive 37 points to take the event on countback from course member Adam Saunders.
Saunders just missed a birdie putt on the 18th to make it his second win in as many events.
Third place went to big hitter Kevin Goude with a steady 33 points off his +2 handicap.
Goude won the long drive with a monster of a shot on the par four 10th. His drive was measured out at 332 yards and finished perfectly placed in middle of the fairway.
Tour regular Paul Barritt won the nearest pin on the downhill 15th, finishing some 10 feet from the hole.
Norfolk Tour leader Dean Ashton, the former Norwich City footballer, could only improve his best five score by one point which has blown the top of the leaderboard wide open following Saunders' and Barrett's impressive display.
