The 18-year-old will join Rob Lyon's men at reserve on a 4.50 average and replaces David Howe after he decided to concentrate on his Premier League racing.

Lebedev has recently attracted the attention of Poole Pirates and highlighted his growing reputation by bagging a 15-point maximum to help his country qualify for next month's Speedway World Cup semi-final (Event Two).

Lyon said: 'Andrej is a young fast rider that we have been looking at for a while. He is really keen to come to the UK and race and I feel he will be a good rider for us.'

The talented teenager will made his debut for the Stars at Coventry Bees tomorrow night.
