James Lacey, Matthew Racher and Oliver Rudd scored for Sprowston Athletic in their 3-2 win at Acle, whose goals both came from Peter Skivington, while Blofield beat Sprowston Wanderers 2-0, with Oliver Christie twice on target.

Wymondham Town won 1-0 (Gareth Downs) against Mattishall, while Brandon won 2-1 against Mundford, whose marksman was Nicky Quantrill.

Corton produced the biggest win in the Cyril Ballyn Trophy first round, beating Harleston 8-1. Wortwell won 2-1 at Outlon Broad, while Newton Flotman, Swaffham Town Res and Yarmouth Town Res all had 3-1 wins, respectively against Thetford Rovers, Necton and Freethorpe.
