The Crabs, who are second in the Premier Division table to Spixworth's lowly postion of third from bottom, will now host Ridgeons Premier Division Norwich United in the semi-final next month.

The other semi-final was already known and will feature near neighbours Dereham and Mattishall.

Cromer manager Chris Wigger said: 'We knew there was a real good chance to progress - there was a lot at stake. We are really chuffed to be in the next round.'

Cromer's Darren Terrington opened the scoring, sneaking a shot in at the near post, then team-mate Ryan Honeyman netted a shot after the keeper parried from Terrington.

In the 84th minute Tom Davies handled on the goal-line and was sent off and Spixworth's Damian Didwell slotted home the penalty.

Sheringham hosted Mattishall and lost 3-1. Ben Abbs scored for the Shannocks with Chris Hall, Ben Lewis and Jason Cole on the scoresheet for the visitors.

The other games Loddon United v St Andrews and Wroxham Res v Watton Utd were both postponed.

Division One results saw Long Stratton beat Caister 3-2 with Adam Solley hitting a brace and Ben Cussons the other with Caisster's Anton Ward netting twice for the hosts.

Wymondham travelled to Holt and returned with a 2-1 win after Luke Rackham hitting two and Steven Thompson replying for the Owls.

Kirkley and Pakefield Reserves put three past visitors Corton (Ali McKenna, David Tarawali and Adam Boggis) with one in reply from Ross Brown.

Poringland (Jonathan Causton and Vaughan Stevenson) lost 3-2 to visitors Hindringham (Scott Gray, David Coslett and own goal).

Horsford visited Reepham and won 3-1 with two from Darren Nichols and Scott McKinney with Shaun Belton netting for the Robins.

Sole Bay hosted Scole and lost 3-1, their goal scored by Russell Palmer with Simon Green, Sean Taylor and James Denney netting for the visitors.

Wells Town's Joseph Harrison scored twice to earn his side a 2-1 win over Norwich St Johns (Graham Carr).

The Bungay v Stalham game was postponed.
