Amiral Collonges can give weight and a beating to his rivals in the Jarrold Ladies Day Handicap Chase at Fakenham on Sunday.
The James Evans-trained chestnut claimed a long overdue victory at the Norfolk circuit almost a month ago, seeing out a marathon distance of three miles and five furlongs admirably, considering how keen he was for much of the journey. Given his natural enthusiasm, a drop back to three miles is unlikely to be a problem; he is only seven so he could still improve.
The Racing Partnership Novices' Handicap Chase is an interesting little heat, with just a pound splitting recent winners Eyes Of A Tiger and Stynes. Eyes Of A Tiger dominated from the front on what was his chasing debut at Sedgefield, while Stynes also made all on his first start over fences at Worcester.
PA tips: 2pm Camillas Wish, 2.30 Amiral Collonges, 3pm Coroberee, 3.30 Eyes Of A Tiger, 4pm Roja Dove, 4.30 Repeat The Feat.
