Norfolk professional Chase Davis finished 11th in the final standings after the East region's Order of Merit series concluded with the KJW Millbrook Masters.

The Marriott Sprowston Manor player shot rounds of 77 and 71 to sign for a 36-hole score of four-over-par that left him in a tie for 11th place.

He was close to securing a top-10 spot but carded two late bogeys to slip down the leaderboard.

Nick Cains of Swaffham finished tied 24th at the Bedfordshire venue after rounds of 78 and 74 and ended his season in 26th position in the overall standings.

Essex professional Mason Papple, 23, secured his first Order of Merit tournament victory thanks to a four-under-par total of 140 (71, 69).

Meanwhile, Jack Yule is preparing for a big challenge on the third tier Europro Tour after turning in a solid performance in the penultimate event of the season.

The King's Lynn professional finished tied 26th in the weather-shortened Newmachar Challenge in Scotland after rounds of 70 and 72, with prize money of just over £400 leaving him 47th in the tour's Order of Merit with £4,606.46 to his name.

Finishing in the top 60 secured Yule a place in the season ending Tour Championship at Desert Springs in southern Spain from October 24-26 when players will be battling it out for a top prize of over £22,000.

Mattishall might not be one of the biggest golf clubs in Norfolk but that hasn't stopped their players recording a couple of notable successes.

The team of Harry Bradfield, Charlie Woodward, Nigel Ferry, Chris Ferris, Jennifer Brown, Martin Nicholas, Sandy Bryne and David Websdale came out on top in the annual Nine Hole Alliance Challenge Cup at Feltwell.

They saw off a strong challenge from the likes Dereham, Ryston Park, Mundesley, Searles Hunstanton, Fakenham and the hosts to take the silverware in the combined Stableford event.

Meanwhile, the seniors team of Tom Crozier, David Lehrian, Clive Childerhouse and Nigel Ferry also made their mark by winning the Ambassador Trophy stableford competition at Costessey Park, a competition that attracted teams from throughout the county.
