It's been a case of one in, one out at Great Yarmouth Town.

Going through the exit door is Sam Applegate, who has joined Bostik North Norwich United, while coming in is young central defender Ray Urry.

First team managers Adam Mason and Martyn Sinclair moved to sign Urry following last weekend's 6-1 Thurlow Nunn Premier Division defeat at home to Histon.

Urry will be one of four 17-year-olds included in the Bloaters starting XI this afternoon for the Norfolk Senior Cup third round tie at home to Yelverton (1.30pm kick-off).

Urry will take his place alongside Miles Palmer, who has already made 16 senior appearances, Josh Ford, who has given some mature performances at left back, and Kieran Hagen, a bright attacking prospect full of creative enthusiasm.

'This is not under-estimating our opponents,' said Mason.

'This is us trusting four young men to go and do a job.

'We are excited about letting them loose and seeing what they've got.

'Saturday is a welcome break from the pressures of league action so everyone should be looking forward to going out and enjoying the game.'

The Bloaters will be well aware that the tie is a potential banana skin – Yelverton are currently 11th in the Anglian Combination First Division, but made it through to this stage of the Senior Cup after a 3-1 win at Thurlow Nunn Premier Division Fakenham Town.

Elsewhere in the Senior Cup. Thetford Town have another knockout game at Mundford Road, but will be looking for an improvement on last week's 4-1 home defeat by Wisbech Town in the FA Vase.

The Brecklanders were up against it after conceding two early goals, but manager Danny White was encouraged by a more fighting display by his players in the second half. Today they face Scole United, fourth in Anglian Combination Division One.

Wroxham travel to Mundford – one place above Scole in the league – while Downham Town are at home to Norwich Ceyms.

The remaining third round ties are on Tuesday when King's Lynn Town host Attleborough, Norwich United travel to Sheringham and Diss are at Dereham.
