Norwich's River Wensum and Yare hosted what is believed to be one of the oldest boat races in the world this weekend.
In to its 199th year, the Carrow Cup Race swept through Norwich with boats carrying rowers from across the country in Christmas themed fancy dress.
The race, which was first held in 1813, started at Pull's Ferry and finished at the Broadland Boat Club, hosted by Norwich Rowing Club on an invitation-only basis.
David Ashcroft, from Norwich Rowing Club, said the race is unusual race as goes through the city centre.
Rower Jessica Cole, 34, was dressed as an angel for the race. She said the historic race was good fun and festive.
