All of the lads will miss Spriggsy (Steve Spriggs) as he's a funny little man who loves telling a story. He always has the changing room in stitches.

He's been a tremendous lad to have about. He's a big character and although we call him an angry little man who is paranoid about his ginger beard you can't knock what he's done for King's Lynn since he's been here.

Football-wise his stats are simply different gear. He has scored goals and done well in the big games as well as the little ones. As a player he's like Marmite – people either love him or hate him.

If you're playing against him you hate him. He's one of the busiest and quickest players I've come across in non-league football. If you play with him you love him because he's got that little bit of magic that can win you games.

I don't want to come across as a wet lettuce, but I'll miss him massively because he's my best mate in and out of football. We spend a lot of time together because he is a great lad, a true gent and most of all he has a heart of gold.

We'll stay in touch because he wants me to keep him in the loop with what's going on here as he's enjoyed his time at Lynn. He's become a bit of a fans' favourite, and deservedly so.

You can't knock him for going out to play in Sweden and I do hope it works out for him.

On the other hand there's a little bit of me that hopes it doesn't work out and he's back next week in England – and wearing a Lynn shirt again.

I must admit it's a shame – having worked so hard to help us – that he won't be there when we're hopefully celebrating winning the league next month.

However, we've shown in the last few weeks that there's enough quality in the team to cope without him. Our squad is very strong, especially as it looks like Ben Coe is coming back. He's a player with a lot of potential.

Danny Beaumont has also shown in the last four or five games he can do well on the right. He's scored goals and looked dangerous, as has Danny White who can do a shift out there too.

If Setch (Gary Setchell) decides to bring someone in then so be it. Every single lad is behind what the gaffer is doing. If he wants to freshen it up then we will make a new face feel welcome -–after they've sung their welcome song of course.

On the pitch, it's been very pleasing that we've won our last two league games, scoring eight goals and keeping two clean sheets in the process. That's three clean sheets on the bounce now.

The manager always says before every game that if we keep a clean sheet we've got an outstanding chance of winning and I'm a big believer of that.

It certainly helps when you've got a keeper like Pedro (Alex Street) behind you. He's a young lad, but I've never played in a side with a keeper of that age who has so much ability.

To do nothing for 80 minutes on Saturday (against Daventry) and then make a wonder save shows what potential he has. It's nice to have a pair of safe hands you can rely on and if he stays injury free I think he's got a big future ahead of him.

Looking ahead, we go to Wellingborough on Saturday and it'll be a special game for Jason Turner. He had a great goalscoring record there and he's done well since he signed for us in February.

He'll want to perform and I hope he can bang in a hat-trick and sit in the bar with his friends – new and old – after the game with a smile on his face because he's helped us pick up another three points.

It would be nice for the '12th man' – our supporters – to be there in force again. Our away support has been fantastic and I assure you that every single fan that turns up is appreciated.
