Christmas has been cancelled by Norwich City after the players decided against celebrating while the club is fighting a battle against relegation.
The squad will miss out on their official Christmas bash and instead concentrate their efforts on pushing towards a safer Championship perch in the new year.
"We cancelled our party until the new year," said striker Jamie Cureton.
"The games didn't really fall right and the situation we were in we wanted to concentrate more on football so we have sort of put ours on the back burner for the time being.
"We are still going to have a night out or whatnot, but we haven't officially had a Christmas do.
"We have said with the way things have gone in games it's not felt right and we probably felt maybe it would be nice if we had a few more points."
Cureton has been involved in organising one party - for his former Colchester team-mates, who were playing in his home town of Bristol at the weekend.
