Narborough trout lakes (01760 338005). Good weekend with nearly all anglers taking limit bags. Plenty of fish being taken including several to 9 lbs. The usual flies are working well damsels, pheasant tails, hares ear, bloodworm and cats whiskers. All three lakes are clear.

Larkwood trout fishery (01284 728612).A record weekend at Larkwood with attendances the best since 1995. Derek Green took a cracking fish of 5 1/2 lbs while Simon Fogg took an amazing 13 fish during a session. The average weight is still around 2 1/4 lbs per fish and a rod average of 3 1/2 fish per angler. Damsels, dawl bachs and black buzzers have been firm favourites this weekend.

Rocklands mere (07900004953). Norwich angler Alan Perkins took 9 fish on size 16 black and green buzzer. Alan fished these on a floating line just under the surface film. Included in this were a rainbow of 4 lbs and a brownie of 3 1/2 lbs. Buzzers are without doubt the only fly for Rocklands at the moment. The lake is gin clear with good evening rises.

Willow trout fishery (01986 785392). Plenty of fish being taken with brownies up to 2 lbs showing in the returns. As with Rocklands buzzers seem to be the only fly needed at the moment. A good hatch of buzzers with some buzzers measuring 3/4 of an inch in length.

The lakes are gin clear and will be so for the foreseeable future.
