Despite the frustration of a couple of schools calling games off 72 hours before they were to take place, there was a good proportion of scheduled games played.

In the Premier, Marlborough took an early lead against league leaders AFC Wanderers through Tom Balls, but were quickly pulled back as Luke Tuttle scored from close range to level. Marlborough then lost goalkeeper Laurie Bedson through injury which left the visitors with ten men. They made a decent fight of it though, but stand in keeper Jody Cork was finally beaten 15 minutes from time by a Craig Bussens goal. Acle Rangers remain in second spot as they won 4-2 at Sprowston Rovers, whilst Lee Clarke grabbed a hat-trick and there were also goals for Nick May (2) and Andy Hanby as Norwich Busmen beat Bayer FC 6-2. Hellesdon Athletic were 2-1 winners at home to Fiveways, and despite being 3-1 up at half-time, Dog House went down 6-3 at home to Aylsham Sunday.

It's still tight at the top of 1A. Leaders Sprowston Sunday were 3-1 winners at home to North Walsham, whilst second placed Norman Wanderers scored seven without reply at Dussindale Rovers. A hard working performance from Windmill Wanderers saw them get back into winning ways as Gary Walsh, Jordan Scotter and a stunning overhead kick from skipper Major Thornton completed the scoring in a 3-1 home victory over Vale Longo. Hockering FC gained a valuable 4-2 home win over DCS Rapid and Castlegate FC scored three times in the last 20 minutes to come from 4-1 down and take a point at home against Aslacton. Ben Drummee (2), Will Hazel and James Richardson scored for the home side.

Earlham United are the new leaders of 1B as they won 3-0 at Moles Rest. St Faiths went down 5-1 to fast improving Prince of Denmark, whose goals came from Ben Lewis (3), Craig Page and Sonny Atherton. Heartsease FC were 3-0 winners at Spixworth Sunday and second half goals by Troy Lowthorpe, Louis Brown and Phillip Marshall-Nichols added to a Matt Howard strike and an unfortunate own goal as Unicorns won 5-1 at Rose Tavern. Jack Ainsley produced a man of the match performance, scoring twice and setting up other chances as PL Rangers were 5-1 winners at Sprowston Wanderers. Matthew Plumstead, Rob Rout and Daryl Puttock also scored.

In 2A, a 4-0 win for Riverside Rovers at New Buckenham sees them stay five points ahead of Norman Wanderers Reserves who were 3-0 winners at Stoke FC. An entertaining game between Dancing Farmers and Deopham ended 3-3. All six goals came in the second half in a see saw tussle which saw Farmers take the lead three times through Dan King (2) and Ed Grand. Robbie Emerson (2) and Andrew Beales replied for Deopham.

Bell Inn opened up a six point gap in 2B after a 5-0 (Tom Brown 3, Jamie Butler, Will Farrow) win in a good sporting game on a heavy pitch. Briston Wanderers moved up to second spot after a 6-1 home win over SDC United, and Ribs Rovers followed up last week's excellent County Cup win by beating One Love United 2-0. Sloughbottom Revolution grabbed a welcome three points as they beat Unicorns Reserves 5-0.

Brooke FC are the new leaders of 3A. Sam Page scored a hat-trick and there were goals for Lewis Cleary (2) and Ben Nichols as they beat Eaton YB 6-2, whilst previous leaders Bungay Town were going down 4-2 at home to Norman Wanderers A. Sporting Longdale kept in touch with a 3-0 win against Newsman Celtic, whilst Temples Property beat Manor Park by the odd goal of five. A 2-1 win for Phoenix Felthorpe at Temple Bar was enough to lift them into mid table.

In 3B, a single goal win for Angel Gardens was enough to take them to within a point of the leaders, whilst third-placed Schoolhouse put last week's cup disappointment behind them by thumping nine (Richard Brett 3, Liam Winter 2, James Slater, Chris Hall, Brendan Burke). Stephen White and Bradley Nelson scored for Hethersett Athletic as they drew 2-2 at Hainford Howitzers for whom Leo Dudley netted a brace and Costessey Sports rounded off the year by beating Earlham Colney 6-1.

The only team in the league with a 100% record, Costessey West End faced Micawbers Tavern who had a great chance in the first few minutes but failed to take it, but they continued to create openings. Such is football though, West End took the lead and added a second soon after and took control of the game, eventually running out 9-2 winners. Ten-man Horsford Youth produced a spirited performance at home to Brooke Reserves and in a game that rained goals, eventually ran out 7-6 winners. In the only game played in 4B, there was a very good 2-1 away win for Spixworth Reserves at Hethersett Reserves.

Well done to The Cottage who beat Tramways from Yarmouth to progress to the Intermediate Cup quarter finals
