A GOOD season in the Lowestoft and District League was reported at the annual meeting of Bungay Tennis Club.

Club captain Juliet Whyte said the team finished a creditable third in the third division with herself, Ian Forder, Craig Frost and Sarah Watts and others when necessary. In the coming season Juliet looks to include others whose standard has risen greatly this season. As well as the Lowestoft League mixed team, Bungay will also re-enter a men's team in the City League in Norwich.

Treasurer Paul Cunningham reported the club was reasonably placed financially, but with fundraising ideas discussed – including a sponsored cycle ride, stall at the Diamond Jubilee and the annual quiz set for October 13.

Winter play is Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Saturday summer play starts April.

Officers elected: president Terry Reeve; chairman Ian Forder; captain Juliet Whyte; secretary Sarah Watts; treasurer Paul Cunningham; City League captain Jamie; tournament committee Paul Cunningham, Juliet Whyte, Ian Forder; committee member Craig Frost plus two others; BDSA representatives Ian Forder, Paul Cunningham, Juliet Whyte.
