Bungay Black Dog junior Ted Oldman won the popular weekly Gorleston 5km Park Run for the fifth time on Saturday, by a margin of more than a minute in a new personal best of 17 minutes 38 secs.

Chris Chorley was 17th (21.55), Steve Oldman was 54th (25.52), Bobbie Sauerzapf 74th (27.41) and club captain Karen Gedge 100th (32.51). There were 124 finishers.

On the same day, Bob Jack completed the windy runbreeze.com Half Marathon held at Long Marston Airfield near Stratford-upon-Avon in 2.33, 227th of 240.

On Sunday, three Black Dogs took part in the wet Wymondham 20-miler that attracted 248 runners.

Jonathan Wiles was 44th in 2:25, Bob Paul 231st (3.27) and David Gilbert 242nd (3.38).
