Bryan made 102 in Horsford's 195 for nine and although George Ducker (50) and Simon Brett (45no) pushed Melton close to their target, they finished on 186 for seven from their 36 overs, with Bryan also picking up two wickets.

In Zone One, Bradenham Bears beat Hales Herd by 80 runs, with Marcus Evans making 81 for Bradenham and Hales' Chris Andersen hitting 55.
Downham & Stow Bombers defeated Sprowston's Sprowcats by 62 runs in Zone Four. Daniel Bullock (74) and Jack Gould (62) provided the majority of the Bombers' total of 215 for seven, with J Spilling taking four for 24. Jack Johnson then restricted Sprowston to 153 for eight, returning figures of four for 30.
The second round of group matches take place this Sunday.
