Bradshaw’s cup special
Vauxhall Mallards made the most of their second chance in the ECB National Club Championship yesterday as they crushed Chingford by 10 wickets.
Mallards had lost their first round match against Ramsey last month, but the result was reversed as the Huntingdonshire side contravened competition rules by playing their overseas player, Travis Townsend.
The Norfolk side therefore went through to face Swardeston's conquerors Chingford.
Chingford chose to bat first but fell apart in the face of a superb spell from Mallards skipper Paul Bradshaw, who took six for 19. There were also two wickets apiece for Martin Addison and Pete Free as the hosts were all out for 60.
Carl Amos (29no) and David Turner (21no) steered Mallards home in the 15th over and they will now face Cambridge Granta away in the regional semi-finals.
