Blackdyke shows nicely

Blackdyke trout fishery 07525 730447. Blackdyke is in top form at the moment, the fish are now well dispersed around the lake and coming into the margins. Most anglers are taking their limit bags. Best flies have been buzzers, apps blood worms and small black drys are also taking fish. Next Saturday March 5 sees the start of the coaching sessions with fly tying tuition in the afternoon from 2pm all are welcome. For details contact Paul Speed.
South Elmham trout fishery 07500 703389. In the past two weeks there have been a number of good fish including many specimen fish, most anglers are managing to take their limits. Stuart Malone returned the top weight with a 10½lb rainbow and two brownies weighing 3lb each. Fourteen-year-old Timothy Slaughter returned a 10lb rainbow whilst fishing with his Father John, who only managed a 3½lb brown. Kevin Knights struck lucky, returning 10 brownies and a 4½lb rainbow. Ray Parry and Pip Mills returned four brownies between 6½lb and 4lb. Ray visited again later in the week with Paul Stowe, and together they returned 11 more in the same weight range. The fish have not been topping very often and are often to be found in the margins.
Willow trout fishery 01986 785392. Willow has just opened its doors for the start of the new season. With plenty of over wintered fish along with new stock the fishing should be very exciting over the few weeks.
Larkwood trout fishery 01284 728612. The fishing has been excellent of late with several anglers taking limit bags. The fish are deep but actively feeding. The best method by far has been floating lines combined with long leaders to get the flies down deep and a very slow retrieve. Best flies have been gold head montanas and black buzzers indicating that the fish are starting to feed on naturals. Keith Sutton took the biggest fish of the week a cracking rainbow of 8lb 7oz. Simon Fogg took the largest bag with 14 fish. The average weight is between 1¾ to 2lb per fish.
Narborough trout lakes 01760 338005. Fishing very well with all three lakes producing the goods. Most anglers are taking their limit bags. Best tactic lures fished on the point with either one or two buzzers on the droppers on a floating line. Best flies to try cats whiskers, montanas, dawl bachs and buzzers.
