Norfolk's charity team, Black Sheep Cricket Club, will continue its fund-raising work this season after confirming its matches for the new campaign.

The side will be captained by Thetford Town's Mike Cusack for games at Old Buckehnam (May 21), Cromer, (June 11), Thetford (July 11), against Roving Reporters at Dereham (August 8), Mildenhall (August 27) and Ashby St Mary (September 24).

Black Sheep chairman, Chris Gilham, explained: 'We have been going for over 25 years and in that period raised about one-hundred thousand pounds for children's charitable causes.

'A recent example is we gave £500 pounds to a little lad named Oscar who is severely autistic and we managed to contribute to a space where he can go and relax in his home, a safe space that his mother was keen to get that we read about in the EDP.'
