It was a blustery Sunday on the River Yare for sailors from Buckenham Sailing Club.
The weather conditions suited Chris Skedge and Chris Clitheroe in their Javelin Big Zipper and they won all three races.
In the Club House Trophy Race they finished well ahead of Trevor Whittaker in his Solo Skybird and Peter Lumley sailing Laser Yare Baby. These three finished in the same positions in the second race. In Race three, the wind strengthened and Yare Baby was well ahead of Skybird when she capsized. Skybird then almost capsized in front of the club house when the main became accidentally cleated. The Solo became so full of water that by the time she was emptied out and back under control, the race was almost over. This left Yare Baby to take second place on corrected time.
