It's been a busy week at Rocklands Mere with lots of anglers on the banks and the fish in fine form.

The slightly warmer days have meant buzzers hatches are really starting to make an appearance, especially late afternoon. It's no surprise the returns book is full of big numbers, with buzzer or emerger patterns as well as bloodworms accounting for the majority of fish.

The Inlet point and far point have been hotspots recently, but fish have been caught from all over the lake with the windward bank being a dead cert if it gets a little breezy.

Saturday saw an incredible rod average of 9.0 with top rod being Barry returning 20 rainbows. Other impressive hauls included John Little from Great Yarmouth with 16, Patrick Larke with 15 on bloodworms, Luis deSouza with 14 on buzzers and diawl bachs, one of which was a 4lb-plus brownie, and Martin Smith with 18 on Sunday.
