Larkwood: Fishing has gone exceptionally well, with three double figure fish taken, the best by Terry Baker at 14lb 4oz (biggest fish for two years) and a 10lb 12oz for Des Burgess. Fish have been nearer the surface so floating line is best. Favourite flies have been very small black buzzer, marabou damsel and bloodworm. Larkwood is hosting the East Anglian heat of the Fishing for Heroes competition. Call Ian on 07776 370348.

Blackdyke: Another good week, with lots of fish showing all over the lake eating snails, small water muscles and black buzzers. The best flies have been natural imitations, Montanas, peacock spiders, hares ears, diawel bachs and buzzers.

South Elmham (07500 703389): Dennis Hawes took the catch of the week – a 6lb 8oz rainbow and two brownies of 6lb and 4lb. Rodney Singleton returned a 4lb rainbow and two brownies of 6lb and 3lb.

Willow Trout Fishery (01986 785392): With almost ideal conditions the fish have been on the surface and on the feed. The average weight of the fish are 1lb.

Nar Valley: Phil Lee is top rod again with another two 20lb plus fish in a session, the best a superb 29lb 8oz common carp.

The fish was landed by Phil as his colleague Aaron Nolan was slipping the net under a 28 pounder.
